What's ET got to do with Benefits?

Updated: Apr 3, 2018

ET Communications may sound like an odd name for a health care and benefits consultancy - and it is! But the name is a special tribute to "T"ony Fioretti - my father and role model for professionalism, work ethic and providing first-class service to business customers.

Tony had a long and successful career with a major publicly traded telephone company. After 30+ years, he grew tired of bureaucracy getting in the way of customer service so he (and his partner "E"dward) started the original ET Communications. The mission was to provide a more affordable and flexible client experience served by the most knowledgeable professionals in the industry.

As a recent college grad, I observed the birth of ET Communications and saw "E" and "T" enjoy the final stages of their careers by providing intimate and exceptional professional service to their customers. They no longer had to manage dozens of people trying to get them to do the right thing for customers within a slow moving corporate structure. They directly delivered on their beliefs - helping their clients and having a lot of fun doing it!

Fast forward a couple of decades and I was in a different industry, but I was also in a very similar place. I had helped several major consulting organizations establish and strengthen their local and national practices, but the system and it's bureaucracy was getting in the way of what my customers really needed. As the ACA started to take effect in 2014, I decided it was time to give my clients something more to gain control over a broken system that was feeding itself using their money.

With this as the backdrop, ET Communications was reborn (doing business as ET Health and Benefits) to bring innovative and unbiased benefits expertise directly to employers looking to break from the status quo of the system.  Check out our "clients" page to see how several early adopters have improved their companies with support from our flexible and affordable advisory service model.
